The following post contains tips for former DevX users to use and navigate the new Teradata Community. If you have any questions or encounter issues, please contact the Community Manager.
DevX Content in the new Community – DevX content created, edited or viewed since 2014 was migrated to the new Community. Forum posts were migrated into the appropriate boards in the Community Forums, Blogs were migrated into the Blogs section and Articles/Training posts were migrated into the DevZone section of the Community. Subject Matter Experts and content authors are encouraged to cleanse this information as needed.
Suggestions for new boards/forums, or requests to move/delete information should be directed to the Community Manager
Subscriptions are your friend – Subscriptions are a powerful tool which allow you to be alerted by email when a comment is posted on one of your articles/blogs/posts. You can set subscription options in your preferences. Left-click your name in the upper right corner and select My Settings to see a list of all preferences. Once subscribed, you can see a list of all your current subscriptions by clicking the My Subscriptions link in the same drop-down menu.
Search – The search function enables you to locate posts/articles/blogs easily by subject, title, author, date, etc… For example, if you want to see all content that you wrote, type your name in the search bar, and click the magnifying glass icon or hit ENTER on your keyboard. This will bring up all results you wrote. You can then further refine and filter these results by location, author, date, type of post and keywords. You can also type your name and select “Users” in the drop-down to the right of the search box to see your profile which contains a link to all content your authored.
Personalize your settings – The Community offers a variety of personalization options for users. To access these options, locate your name in the upper right corner of the screen, and click My Settings to view all options. You can set default subscription options, control layout/formatting of pages, change personal information, set privacy options and much more.
Help Menu – The Community has an extensive Help menu which guides you through how to add new content, preview newly-added content, edit content and reply or comment on existing content.
User Profiles – Profiles are maintained by each user within the Community. Profile cards may contain company information, biographies, subject matter expertise and badge/rank information. Keep your profile up to date and review others’ profiles to learn more about them.
