Manage your email notifications

You can change your Teradata Community settings to receive as many or as few email notifications as you would like. Here’s how.

Subscription Notifications

Subscribing to a message in the Teradata Community ensures that you will never miss information that is important to you. If you subscribe to a message, the system will send you an e-mail every time someone replies to that message.

To add a message to your Subscriptions:

  1. Sign in
  2. Go to the message to which you want to subscribe
  3. Open the Options menu in the right corner of the message and click Subscribe

To view or delete your Subscriptions:

  1. Go to My Settings
  2. Click the Subscriptions & Bookmarks tab
  3. Click Email Subscriptions

To delete any of your Subscriptions, place a checkmark in box next to the subscription you want to delete from the list and click Delete Selected Subscriptions from the Email Subscriptions Options drop down menu.

To automatically subscribe to all topics that you participate in:

  1. Go to My Settings
  2. Click the Subscriptions & Bookmarks tab
  3. Check the “Automatically subscribe me to topics I participate in” box

You can also choose to be notified whenever someone responds to one of your posts. When posting a message, check the “Email me with new posts in this thread” box on the right side of the page under Subscriptions.

Private Message Notifications

Whenever someone sends you a Private Message in the Teradata Community, you receive an email notification. To change this:

  1. Go to My Settings
  2. Click the Preferences tab
  3. Click the Private Messenger tab
  4. Under Private Messenger settings, uncheck the box next to “Receive email notifications for new private messages"
